Beautiful Pink Flowers

Contributor- KQ Doan

We recently took a vacation in Hawaii, and this branch flower was just so unique that I had to stop and took a picture. I don't know what it is called, but the deep pink color was just gorgeous.

This flower shot right out the middle of green foliage. I did take my "time to smell the flower" in the sense that using my camera.

I don't know the name of these plants, but they all have attractive pink shades and they stood out with rich green leaves around. I found these flowers on the hiking trip to the Twin Waterfalls in Maui.

Sky Watch--Half Moon And The Bird

We had many days of beautiful weather this week. The sky was mostly blue, and clear. It was so nice that I could even see the moon hanging around at 6:00 o'clock in the morning. My point and shoot camera lacked the capability to zoom in too close.

There were buds on some trees now, so spring is definitely on its way. The birds at this time of the year are very noisy and busy. I have a chance to see some of them collecting things to build their nests.

I watched these two birds dancing, and prancing around in their courting ritual while waiting to pick up the kids from school. It was just fascinating to get lost in their world for the moment.

I took this photo early in the morning one day this week. The moon was clear and beautiful. It had become a habit to me to look at the sky for photo opts.

Can you see all the buds on this tree? It is fully exposed to the sun light, which explained why it has buds earlier than other trees. This tree is also full of these little birds.

Deadly Night Shade

This is called Night Shade flowers, which grew wild in our garden, and they are poisonous. The kids know enough not to touch them, but just look. They grew along the fence in our backyard, and the color purple was deep and beautiful.

These pictures were taken after the rain, and there were just a few rain drops left on them. I like looking at them, and watch how they grew at each stage.

I am not a professional photographer, but I like to take pictures especially in macro mode. It seemed that I can see more details in my desire objects.

I love the green background in these photos, and the beautiful color purple flowers. If you want to see more pictures of Night Shade, there is a post on Wandering Thought.

Jumper on Red Flower

These flowers were from last year, growing in the container that kept on the side of my house. Though they were different from all other petals I had around, they quickly became my favorite because they continuously blooming.

All I had to do was to break off the dead ones, and soon after another group of flowers came in to replace them.

These flowers bloomed all the way in early winter, and attracted this baby grasshopper to them. I was late in buying flowers last year, and these were what my local garden shop had left.

I like this peachy color, and I may try to get some more of these flowers for the summer. They are annual flowers, and a tray of four little containers cost less than a dollar, so they are really a great investment for a whole summer of blooms.

Look at that little jumper's face! He was surprised to see me, but not shy at all. In fact, he was busy feeding, and didn't mind my intrusion on his meal time.
